MobileVehicleCare
There is a wide range of businesses relying on vehicles for the delivery or the provision of core products and services to the end-users. Specialized communication, seamless information flow and in some cases multi-media solutions are requested to optimize the integration of vehicles and drivers into the customer’s business setting.
Gitosa has developed a Vehicle Onboard Unit (VOU) to effectively integrate different mobile technologies into a powerful mobile multi-purpose service platform. Incorporated capabilities are Push2Talk, SMS, Mobile Data, WAP, LBS, RFID, NFC, GPS and rich-media support (MobileTV, IPTV, VoD, DigitalAD).
Individual versions of the VOU are fully integrated into the special environment of the vehicles (Bus, Taxi, Trucks, etc.).
Examples of ongoing projects in the VOU segment are the following:
Bus Onboard Unit (BOU)
Gitosa’s BOU offers the immediate benefit of migration from the existing analog radio communication to the digital public mobile data networks (partners are the Mobile Operators) by integrating Push2Talk services into the bus operator’s communication. Aside from Push2Talk, Gitosa integrates functions like emergency/panic button involving the activation of a signal at the central office with location information. BOUs communicate with the central platform/s (operator, service centre, etc.) via the mobile data modem of the relevant mobile operator.
Gitosa has made use of standard building blocks to make the BOU robust, flexible and easy to customize for individual requirements. A variety of RBL-solutions (RBL light, etc.) can be supported and enriched with BOU capabilities.
Taxi Onboard Unit (TOU)
Gitosa’s TOU offers taxi operators the immediate benefit of migration from the existing analog radio communication to the digital public mobile data networks (partners are the Mobile Operators) by integrating Push2Talk services into their communication with the taxi drivers. Aside from Push2Talk, Gitosa integrates functions like emergency/panic button involving the activation of a signal at the police station with location information. TOUs communicate with the central platform/s (operator, service centre, etc.) via the mobile data modem of the relevant mobile operator.
Gitosa has made use of standard building blocks to make the TOU robust, flexible and easy to customize for individual requirements. A variety of applications can be supported and enriched with TOU capabilities.
Logistic Onboard Unit (LOU)
Gitosa’s LOU offers logistic/transport companies the opportunity to use nationally provided Push2Talk service packages with domestic and (data roaming dependent) international coverage. Not only communication but especially the business related information flow will be fully integrated into the company’s back office systems (ERP, etc.) processes (“Mobile Logistic”).
Aside from the operational efficiency, Gitosa integrates security functions like emergency/panic button involving the activation of a signal at a central station (operator, police, etc.) with location information. LOUs communicate with the central platform/s (operator, service centre, etc.) via the mobile data modem of the relevant mobile operator.
Gitosa has made use of standard building blocks to make the LOU robust, flexible and easy to customize for individual requirements. A variety of applications can be supported and enriched with LOU capabilities.
